“Impatient Girl”, singer/songwriter, Actress, Producer, Director Milandra brings a rock, pop, soul feel to her music.

Currently living in Melbourne Australia, and only just released her new single "COLD", production by Damon Smith and BV's by CLAIRA-J & Kamanu Dennis. She's been described as having a paradoxical quality of jazz-like throatiness with the sweet air of innocence and youthful energy that vibes on stage. Her sound is a little like Madonna, influenced by Annie Lennox and 80s pop singers like Belinda Carlisle and Janet Jackson. Theatrically trained in dance since the age of 3. She honed her singing skills on stage with the classics of Judy Garland and Nina Simone during the strict ballet and theatrical era. Admiring performers that powerfully and gracefully danced around in leg warmers and tights, wanting to be just like them.

In her 20s, she would drive for hours to her uncle's place as often as she could to record her original songs in his home studio. Those songs were her way of expressing herself as Madonna told her to. They were young and fun and gradually increased her experience, confidence and her belief in achieving her dreams.

Performing and rehearsing in many bands, from rock, to pop through to soul, helped build her collaboration and management skills. She became known as the "Impatient Girl" from her song of the same name as she demonstrated tenacity and desire to become a professional singer/songwriter and Actress.

After distributing her songs and performing live, she turned to acting, studying how to perform for film so she could deliver stellar performances in her music videos and entertaining stories. During this time, she raised her son and transitioned her creative direction toward him and her family's IT business. After COVID hit, it felt like this was her second chance, and it wouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that she was willing to try again, even though it meant starting from scratch. Because so was the rest of the world.

She is working on her next few songs, editing her music video about bullying called "Moment", which portrays a redhead in high school with a disturbing hair-pulling disease. Her songs come from her true experiences and feelings with her own authentic sound and always have a message or story to tell. Telling her truth and turning her pain into beautiful and meaningful songs is her passion.

Persuading her parents to invest in dance and performance lessons from the very young helped forge her dance and singing skills.

Venue’s Milandra has performed at are The Royal Melbourne Hotel, Manchester Lane, The Blue Tile Lounge, Alamanda Cafe, The Cornish Arms Hotel, Mr. Pockets, St. Mary’s Primary School and Concord School to raise money for Breast Cancer. Also performing at The Evelyn Hotel supporting Pludo with Third Verse Entertainment, not to mention the odd local sports club and never missing a chance to perform for her family and friends at any appropriate event.

Trained by the strong vocal pop/rock singer Lisa Asta, the beautiful Kate Ceberano’s vocal coach Glenda Walsh and spiritually trained and connected to her crafty voice with her mentor Lindsay Fields.

Her current EP  "Disloyal Proximal Phalanges" is very catchy with song 'Impatient Girl' which has a feel-good sound with a 60’s/80's influence along with her soul/pop songs: Sleepless Nights, Moment, Leaving and Pornography

Milandra is currently working in the studio with Damon Smith set to release another single in the new year. She is seeking new representation after finishing her acting studies at the Victorian College of the Arts in Victoria, working the scenes with Screen Acting Melbourne with Director & Producer Rohan Jones, now studying also with Australian Actress Simone Buchanan with Film & TV Studio International and editing her music video 'Moment' out she has featured as lead in 2 short films. She is described as a driven professional who is very honest, loving, grounded, earthy, red head who is sometime brunette, with a fiery nature who has a warm, infectious and colourful personality. You can catch her in her hippy skirts, beaded necklaces surrounded by a cloud of incense hanging with her son Zander and family. She hopes you enjoy her music and work as much as she enjoyed making it.
